The world of user experience has never stopped evolving and it’s essential to stay up-to-date on the latest ideas and thoughts happening in the industry. Web Development is an ever-changing field — the way we build websites today is completely different from how we used to do it a couple of years ago

This blog is about of all things interesting and/or related to UX Design and Front-end development. A place where i can share tips, tricks and my thoughts

The easy to use prototyping and wire-framing library made with Sketch for Sketch. With over 30 components, the Nippus library gives you the necessary tools for speed prototyping and wireframe creation. Since wireframes serve as a universal language between users, stakeholders, and developers. Your wireframes should gain consensus and visual clarity is of unconditional importance.

Users are familiarised to scrolling vertically on the web, scrolling horizontally is still not an familiar way to interact with desktop pages, therefore using clues that communicate how to interact with the carousel is decisive. But the biggest deal when designing a carousel is to guide the users toward the content that is present off-screen. Fighting against the illusion of completeness simply because the important information may be hidden or left unseen

Pixel art brings back a great nostalgic feeling for gamers who grew up playing games in the 80is. This technique is commonly visible in video games, based on the first 8-bit and 16-bit computers and consoles graphics. Back in the day, pixel art was mandatory because computers had limited memory and storage capacity, requiring artists to constrain themselves in terms of size and color depth of their assets. Today it’s visible in a multitude of indie games developments, arcade games, retro games or smartphone games due to its lower “weight”.

This is a Three.js experiment using my previously designed low-poly fox model. After converting the head of the fox model to a DAE file (Digital Asset Exchange file) I used three.js. Three.js is a cross-browser JavaScript library and Application Programming Interface used to create and display animated 3D computer graphics in a web browser. Three.js uses WebGL

This is a small concept for enhanced UI interactions: the intention is to add a 'bouncy elastic' animation on the opening navigation. It’s certainly important to keep things subtle. Touch feedback can profit from using this sort of effect. Accordingly on this idea, I've reproduce this effect on this website with an svg morphing shape animation. The nice thing is that we can give a more “practical” interaction feedback to the user

It’s hard to argue that animations are much more fun than static images. This is my very first dribbble shot. Animated shots where limited to GIFs with a miximal size of 10MB and cropped to a 4:3 aspect ratio but this is probably why I love 💕 dribbble. Having some specification to fight against or to play with enables people with creativity. Just like twitter when they only allowed 140 characters: having to communicate something fancy with restricted characters or megabytes is a fertile challenge

Microinteractions are small moments where the user and design interact. This animation is a simple little shopping basket concept. An idea how the user of an application or an e-commerce website will experience adding the product to his shopping list. This User Experience was inspired by touchscreen interfaces mimic.
